Successful claim against the police following excessive use of force during arrest

Case – Physical aggression caused by an on-duty police officer

Capital Lawyers were instructed to pursue a civil claim against a constabulary when one of its police officers used excessive force during an arrest.

Following a successful request for disclosure, the bodycam of the officer clearly showed the assault, which proved to be vital evidence.

Outcome – £4,000 settlement was awarded to the client
